"Spider-Man" was really the first jump into the MARVEL movie-verse, and what launched the new age of Superhero films for the new millenium. Playing on the well known origin story, the film does have its moments (action and drama), where it pulls you in and never lets go of you until the end. Willem Dafoe was perfectly cast for the role Norman Osborn/Green Goblin (although the Goblin's costume is questionable, being raised on the comics and animated adaptations) and the other actors do a great job at playing their roles as well. Although in my opinion, Tobey Maguire plays a better Peter Parker than Spider-Man. And I still can't get that memorable Spidey/MJ kissing scene out of my head!

Spiderman is my favorite superhero and this movie is fantastic and I think the whole reason the Superhero genre became so popular is this movie. Some have said it's because of Superman 1, 2, and 3 And I can only say please give me a break! Spiderman brings us a scientific and superhuman hero that has reasonable powers and actually has a weakness or 2 all and all one of the best movies I have seen in Years. Excellent go see it or buy it either way check it out!

This was such a good movie! Th effects are great, it feels like you yourself are swinging from building to building! Also, the story is kind of cornny but all terribly entertaining at the same time. Even if Tobey Maguire isn't hot, he totally makes you fall in love with him in this movie. EVeryone should see, even those who think "Eww! Superheroes?! ".

Very dark, evil and violent! Any parent that ignores the PG rating which is accompanied by a warning (not recommended for young children, frightening scenes, violence) is doing their child a terrible injustice. It is pschologically shocking for young minds. People are violently killed and there are sexually explicit elements unsuitable for children and Christians alike!

Good movie, but it was more childish then to be shown for 13 and over, if your kid watch it now, and I won't gaurantee it being good and if your an adult like me, defently waste of time, money, energy and just screw it... for a child I give it, 9 but othewise look down.

I went to see this movie with my family. It was a great movie although I found my daughter age 6 was scared thoughout the movie and I had to take her out of the theatre a couple of times. Although my 3 yr old son was fine with all of it!

This is the best movie I have EVER seen in my life. I saw a couple of movies on the internet and I loved em right away. But in the end they always said "3 May". So there I was on the 3rd of May at the movies, but they didn't have it... then I realised that it was the American date, and I live in Belgium :D. But anyway, the day it was finally rolling, I went to see it and my mouth just fell open right from the start. Even the intro took my breath! And when it was out on DVD, I bought it right away!
